it's not reversed, that's a pretty common stunt in cheerleading, usually at the college level though. it's called a rewind cupie. if she was doing a dismount, the base would grip the flyer's hips on the way down. there are plenty of examples on youtube.
reversed. guy in background on the left is walking forwards and then in second video he is walking backwards with the same movements. possible stunt but this one is reversed.
it is reversed. when she is about to do the flip her hair swings forward so in the second video it looks like when she lands her hair goes forward from impact. plus the guy in the background is walking forward then walking backwards with same movements.
The first one is legit. Here is a tougher one, and it couldn't have been faked, since the ending would be ever more difficult. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RexO00btfzA
"nahhh backtuck load-in. totally possible because cheerleading takes strength, body control and trust in your team mates.
and it's still not considered a sport?"
it's not considered a sport because all the big companies are making too much money off of it not being considered a sport. plus, when an activity or game becomes an official sport, and gets to a professional level (i.e. NBA, NFL, NHL, etc), the league has a certain amount of liability over injuries, etc.. and the evil bastards making all this money off of cheerleading don't want to spend any of it taking care of the most injury prone people in sports.
See, the problem is basic comprehension of the title. The "I hope this is reversed..." is referring to the first gif, with the second only showing what it would look like reversed. Anyone not getting that is a derp. Seriously, how can you misunderstand something that basic?
The top one (the backflip video) is the original. Check out the background... you have several people walking forward - which proves that it is the original. The bottom GIF has, however, been reversed by the poster just to show what it would look like in reverse.
The first one is real. If she was dismounting from his hand (the second video) the way her base had caught her would have broken her back, AND she didn't jump for the "dismount" so there would have been no momentum. It just wouldn't work.
OK so this is a one arm REWIND to awesome... it's not a dismount... and I know this because I filmed it... here's the real video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tigePdlbrVs
It's legit. Take a close look at the second one, where she starts on his hand. Her pony tail jumps straight up without her moving at all. It's hard to see, and you only get a tiny piece of it but, the first is real. As for the guy "walking backwards" haven't you ever taken a step back?
So everyone who said it's backwards has failed.
Also, take a look at her legs. Not that it proves anything... they are just nice IMHO. :D
Seriously? no one can tell that the person in red is walking forward in the first .gif? look at the arm swing and the way the knee bends, they're facing the camera and walking forward, not facing away and walking backwards. so yes, First is real, second is reversed
Just out of curiosity, did anyone notice the second video says reversegif at the bottom. And although this may be possible, the first one is real, the second is reverse. Her ponytail does flip up before she starts moving.
Requiring a lot of talent/physical ability does not a sport make.
Cheerleading is not a sport, simply because it's judged and there is no direct way for opponents to affect each other. But, it does require an amazing amount of strength, balance and flexibility. Like gymnastics.
No, its not reversed, check her hair
ReplyDeleteAint reversed, the guy in the background at the start is walkin forward, plus her body movements all look natural
ReplyDeleteit is reversed the guy was walking forward and in the second vid hes going in reverse
ReplyDeleteCheck her hair, you dumb ass. It's legit.
ReplyDeletenahhh backtuck load-in.
ReplyDeletetotally possible because cheerleading takes strength, body control and trust in your team mates.
and it's still not considered a sport?

ReplyDelete... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGGgCoa7_Hg
I wondering if some of the folks above aren't seeing both images...
ReplyDeleteThe first one is legit. Here is a tougher one, and it couldn't have been faked, since the ending would be ever more difficult. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RexO00btfzA
ReplyDeleteAmazing for sure...still not a sport.
ReplyDeleteif you notice in the very far background there is a person in red casually walking forwards, in the top one.
ReplyDeleteon the bottom on, the person in red appears to be casually walking backwards,
so unless everyone practiced really hard to walk backwards, and do things backwards, i think this is real
it's a backflip mount, watch how the black guy does a little jump as he prepares to lift her, he wouldn't do so if he was breaking her fall
ReplyDelete"nahhh backtuck load-in.

ReplyDeleteYou need to watch some cheer comps this is a normal routine move, watch her hair, it's completely real. Big dude, small girl, it's easy.

her hair doesn't prove anything you fucking idiots
ReplyDeleteWatch this, at 0:20. You'll see University of Kentucky, 18 time National Champions, throw 4 Rewind Cupies.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGG6tSkEn70
It's called a one-armed rewind..and it is most definitely possible
ReplyDeleteUm yeah. A one armed rewind. Pretty common stunt in college cheer.
ReplyDeleteDisney World Ftw
ReplyDeleteshopped. i can tell by the man walking backwards, and because i have seen many men walking backwards before
ReplyDeletein the bottom one her ponytail flips up all by itself before any part of her body moves
ReplyDeleteLook at her pony tail. clearly, the real one is the one where the big guy throws her up.
ReplyDeleteIt's legit. Take a close look at the second one, where she starts on his hand. Her pony tail jumps straight up without her moving at all. It's hard to see, and you only get a tiny piece of it but, the first is real. As for the guy "walking backwards" haven't you ever taken a step back?

green screen with a wire rig... look at the flags in the background
ReplyDeleteSeriously? no one can tell that the person in red is walking forward in the first .gif? look at the arm swing and the way the knee bends, they're facing the camera and walking forward, not facing away and walking backwards. so yes, First is real, second is reversed
ReplyDeleteDid everyone fail to see the "reversegif.com" url in the bottom right?
ReplyDelete.scisyhp fo swal eht ot lauqe htob era sdrawkcab dna sdrawrof ,ecnereffid on sekam yllaer ti level ralucelom a nO
ReplyDeleteIts definately not reversed, its a rewind, a very common move in advanced cheerleading.
ReplyDeletepossible yes, but gif is reversed. (hair moves before any head movement)
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiosity, did anyone notice the second video says reversegif at the bottom. And although this may be possible, the first one is real, the second is reverse. Her ponytail does flip up before she starts moving.
ReplyDeletethe first one is the real one, done it before
ReplyDeletethe first one is rea;l. look at the person in the red shirt in the background.
ReplyDelete"and it's still not considered a sport? "

The stunt they are doing is called a rewind.
ReplyDeleteAnd competitive cheerleading IS indeed a sport.
